
Chef Vasil’s passion for cooking began in childhood, side by side with his grandmother Emma, whose traditional Serbian kitchen was filled with warmth, intuition, and time-honored techniques. Under her guidance, he learned to translate “a pinch of this” and “a dash of that” into the precise craftsmanship that defines his cooking today.
Inspired by those early experiences, Vasil pursued formal culinary training at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute before continuing his education at Duquesne University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, restaurant management, and nutrition.
Over the past 30+ years, Chef Vasil has refined his craft while working alongside renowned executive chefs, including John Q. Hammons and Wolfgang Puck. This blend of tradition, training, and professional excellence shapes every dish and dessert he creates, from custom cakes to freshly baked goods.
